More Tropo 11/11/14

With all the warm to hot weather in Adelaide, I really must remember to keep checking my radios, as things are picking up, and it will be E-Skip season too.

More Tropo noted this morning - nothing unusual, but good to be hearing the regulars again.

Heard were 91.1 and 93.5 Bendigo, as well as 91.7, 92.5, 93.3, 94.1 and 94.9 Western Victoria.

89.5 Bendigo was not heard, as the others were fairly weak, and that only comes up once they are reasonably strong.

On other news, now am on a brand new desktop PC, 6 core processor 3.5 Ghz (4.1 Ghz turbo), 1TB hard drive, 8GB RAM and Windows 8.1 64 bit.  Didn't know how I would go with 8.1, as have been using XP for years, but got used to it pretty quickly...phew!!

I'm back!

After a very quiet winter for DX (as well as my hard drive on my desktop PC failing, again!! and still not fixed), I am back. With the warmer weather upon us (37 degrees tomorrow), I am looking forward to posting activity from Tropo and E-Skip from here in Adelaide.

Last night (19th October) and this morning (20th), 91.1 an 93.5 Bendigo, along with 89.9 Port Lincoln were noted.

At the time of typing this - 10.30pm February 6, Tropo is building.  For the first time, I have received RDS on 90.9 Flow FM Maitland, which is mostly a permanent station here.

Melbourne E's, 25/1/14

A nice surprise yesterday with a very strong 10 minute opening to Melbourne (along with a couple of other Victorians).  Followed immediately by Lakes Entrance.  As the two Lakes Entrance ones I got were same frequencies as used in Melbourne, I am unsure if they came up as Melbourne left, or if they were already there, but were drowned out by the strong Melbourne signals.
